Oh, I've also tied the two larger plants down to the level of the runt after raising them closer to the lights, and I got a good shot of the pistils on number two.

I ran into the guy that runs the dispensary where I got these seeds from.

After giving him one of the fan leaves and describing the growth pattern, he identified that as his Pot of Gold strain.

He can't wait to get some of this from LED lighting. He's always done that stuff under HPS and it's always sold as bottom-shelf stuff.

teetee wrote:why don't you mainline the runt as an experiment? Show me how it's done!!!
you're almost there... just remove everything below the 2 shoots at the top and their leaves, and train them out at 90 degrees.
then when the shoots have 6 internodes top at the 3rd and defoliate below again on each and spread the new shoots out 90 degrees again. and repeat 2 or 3 more times.
:grin:::::

ive heard abit about mainlining. normally i LST the baby. whats the average timing to mainline 4 heads to approx 2 ft?
it is a good technique to utilise all space.

would like to see a brother who knows the levels to do it!(; smart stuff!

Old Evader is also upgraded internally with copper heat sinks for better cooling performance! Old aluminum ones cool down the MK-R LED on my custom-built aquarium light, now!

Okay, first official day of 12/12

On the two larger plants, I'm doing self-support training. What this is in essence is making the branches themselves act as the screen, letting the main stalk become the support truss. Number two accidentally got snapped at the main stem, so she's got an overhead support string run until the break heals up and forms a stronger nodule.

I also added in a lower-power (75w) LED in the middle for the runt, and to compliment missing areas on the other plants that the opposite 150w panel wouldn't touch.

The tiny bit of training has huge results. The canopy for each plant is now almost entirely full, happy as can be.

So far, the other two have not shown gender. The other one certainly matured very rapidly. It might not be a pot of gold. It could be an autoflower because it's still rolling blooms faster than it should. If that is the case, the most likely AF strain I have smoked and had seed from was an AF hybrid TrainWreck (since typical TrainWreck is not an autoflower.)

I should also note that while LED doesn't get AS HOT, it will still produce a fair amount of heat. My little closet, with 375W of LED, is sitting at ~100F (38C) without ventilation. That will change as soon as I rig a polytube up from a trash bag and run from AC duct to closet. My current humidity is 25%, which is perfect.

Just checked on the babies, all of them are female!

Now for ~9 weeks of flowering. I should have some good homegrown ready for April 20!
