PSYCOSIS.. proper luton cheese and helios 4

Postby psycoticgardener » Wed Apr 23, 2014 6:30 pm

Just bought my first LED.. the Helios 4 from a very helpful company called Quantum LED http://www.quantumledbloom.co.uk/
I have 8 young ladies that are usuallly under 2 x 400w sodium lamps.
I am expecting to use just the LED during the veg stage and then have 1x 400w sodium at one end and the helios at the other so i should be able to see a direct comparason.
Initial reaction is the build quality is fantasticand the dispersion of light looks good.
Pics and energy consumption details to follow.

ps does anyone know why when i try to attach pics i get an extension not allowed message?

i open 'my pictures' then highlight the photo I want, open with 'Microsoft picture manager' click on the tab 'picture' and then 'resize' then adjusted the % size to about 30% so that the size is anything less than 1800 x 1200 pixels, save it and that usually makes it available for uploading.

After the first few goes it gets quite easy. PM me if you have any more trouble dude. Looking forward to seeing the pics :-P

update...

Im 2 weeks into flowering, have the helios very close to 4 small plants and a 400w sodium over another 4. so far the results are identical.
I have seen no bleaching or size difference.

Measured the actual power consumption of the helios was about 165w.

there are photos but im building suspense.
